When you set up a chocolate fountain for home party you’re going to need to know a few things. You can not just throw a few Hershey bars in a chocolate fountain in the hope that the signature chocolate waterfall. You must choose the right chocolate, add vegetable oil if necessary, and possibly some additional ingredients to make sure that your recipe chocolate fountain is a good one.
First, almost all chocolate fountains for home use, will not melt chocolate for you. You must use a double boiler or microwave oven, and then transfer the melted chocolate to your fountain.
Regular chocolate is too thick for use in the fountain. It must be thinned or its viscosity decreases. This is achieved with vegetable oil. Neutral flavored oils such as canola or safflower are added to chocolate flavor is not overpowered oil.
